The Material Request window helps you plan material requests, if you do not have an external materials system configured with Smart Construction. When the Material Request window is enabled, material requests can be automatically populated based on engineering components, component register items, and work steps added to IWPs. You can also manually manage material requests. You can manually add, update, and delete material requests in the Material Request window.
Administrators can designate which work steps consume the material requests for an
IWP in the rules of progress data for a project. For more information, see Specify which work steps consume materials.
