Problem

Your ROP Configuration.xlsm workbook is formatted properly, but the work steps are not correctly generated.

Solution

If your ROP Configuration.xlsm workbook is formatted properly yet work steps are not correctly generated, the workbook might have some extraneous data that needs to be deleted. If you had previously populated a column and deleted the information, data might still linger in that column. Use the following steps to properly delete the data.

  1. Open the ROP Configuration.xlsm workbook to the tab that has work steps not generating properly. For example, if you notice boltup work steps are not generated properly, navigate to the Boltups tab.

  2. On the tab, press CTRL + END to navigate to the right-most column with data.

If Excel navigates you to an empty cell, there is data that has not been properly deleted.

  3. Select all columns - begin with the column that was selected using CTRL + END to the column to the right of the column with visible data.

  4. Right-click the selected columns, and select Delete to open the Delete dialog box. Select Entire column and click OK.

  5. Save and close the workbook.

  6. Open the workbook.

  7. Press CTRL + END to navigate to the right-most column with visible data. Verify all columns with previously deleted data were deleted from the workbook.

  8. Repeat steps 1-5 in other tabs where work steps not generating properly.

  9. Save the ROP Configuration.xlsm workbook.

  10. Open the Main tab of the workbook.

  11. Click Generate Configuration File to generate the XML mapping to be used during retrieve.

  12. Check in and sign off the ROP Configuration.xlsm workbook.

  13. Retrieve documents into Smart Construction.
