After you manually add a component to an IWP, you can add work steps and man hours to that component. For more information, see Manually add work steps to a component.

Click Work Packages on the project home page.

Select an IWP from the Work Packages browser.

Click Components.

Click Add Component.

Type a name for the new component in the Name box.

Press the TAB key.

Select a drawing in the Drawings box.

Press the TAB key.

Type a value in the Units box.

Click outside of the Components window or press the TAB key to save changes.
