Unlike other access groups, you can assign any access group to specific properties by using your chosen access group's UID as a value for the property's key in the SPFAppServer.config file. The properties that access groups can be assigned are listed and described in the table below. See the SmartPlant Foundation Help guide for more information on the configuration service.

  1. Find the UID of the access group that you want to have control of the work package properties.

    • (a) The UID for an existing access group can be found in the Export Data menu of any access group in SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client. See Roles and access groups for help finding an access group.

    • (b) See Create access groups for instructions on how to create an access group.

  2. Go to the SPFAppServer.config file, which is located in the [SITE_NAME]\SPFConfigService\SPFSharedSettings folder.

  3. Add the following entry in the SPFAppServer.config file anywhere under the <appSettings> section.

    <appSettings>

    <add key="" value="" />

  4. Fill in the key and value sections. See the table below for specific keys that represent specific access groups. For each value, add the UID of the access group you want to have access to the property.
