Smart Construction gets material status from the materials system by using the BOM Path. BOM providers determine the relevant BOM list for a package or a component in component directory full BOM status view. The following BOM providers are available:

Drawings BOM Provider |
Determines the BOM list from the list of drawings that are added to an IWP. System will use this by default. |

Components BOM Provider |
Determines the BOM list from a property on components that are packaged in the IWP. The provider will look for "SPC_ComponentItem_BOM" property on each component item and collect the unique list. In case there is no value on this property, the provider will look for the drawing(s) the component belongs to and the relative package. |

Configure the system setting for using the component BOM provider

Click Smart Construction > Find > Administration > Options.

In the Find Smart Construction Options dialog box, type SPC System Options and click OK.

In the search results, right-click SPC System Options and select Update.

Type ComponentsBOMProvider in the BOM Provider box.

Click Finish to save your changes.
