Administration

• Smart Construction delivers read-only web APIs which can be used to retrieve data from the Smart Construction database and to execute queries. For more information, see Welcome to Intergraph Smart Construction Web API. (CR-AM-147403)

• Constraint managers can view and record the fulfillment of constraint requests using a new Smart Construction feature set designed for the SmartPlant Foundation Web Client. Constraint managers who otherwise do not need to use SmartPlant Construction can be given access to this feature set in the SmartPlant Foundation Web Client instead. Special licensing is required. For more information on setting up this feature set, see Set Up the Smart Construction Feature Set in the SmartPlant Foundation Web Client. For more information on using the Web Client to manage constraint requests, see Use the Smart Construction Feature Set in the SmartPlant Foundation Web Client. • Constraint requests can now be created against individual components or sets of components and managed in a Constraints browser window:

  • You can create, update, and delete constraints for components from models, drawings, the component browser, the work package browser, and component register. For more information, see Create, view, and manage constraints. (CR-AM-143816, CR-AM-143819, CR-AM-143820).

  • You can view and manage constraints based on constraint properties in the constraints browser window. For more information, see View and manage constraints in the Constraints browser window. (CR-AM-143824).

  • You can monitor both the total number of constraints or only constraints that are currently open from the component directory, the work package browser, and the IWP components tab. For more information, see Create, view, and manage constraints. (CR-AM-143828, CR-AM-143830, CR-AM-147273, CR-AM-143832).
