If your CWP was created as part of a CWA, you can include or exclude the CWA in the scope of the CWP.
-
When you add a discipline to your CWP, you can select one or more component categories within that discipline to include in the scope of the components collected for the CWP.
-
You can narrow the scope of the components that will be collected with additional criteria.
-
If you want to make a change to the collected components, click Clear Collected Components, and then collect them again with new or different criteria.
-
Open a CWP.
-
Click Content Rules.
-
To select components based on a custom search criteria, click the Query tab. Select a criterion and specify a search value. For more information, see Create and configure custom search criteria for Smart Construction.
-
To select components based on saved queries in a model, click the Filter tab, and select a saved query.
You can save search queries when you use selection rules or the Get Objects by Volume option, or when you right-click components and create a filter. For more information, see Select model or drawing components using selection rules, Get objects by volume, or Create and save a filter in a 3D model or 2D drawing by selecting components.
-
Review your criteria in the Selection pane, and click Collect Components to add components to the CWP.
The components are added to the Collect Components queue.
-
If the scope of the CWP changes, the previously applied scope is changed into a selection criterion on the CWP. For example, you have a CWP with CWA 1 selected as its scope. If the CWA changes to CWA 2, CWA 1 is removed as the scope of the CWP, but it is added as a selection criterion on the CWP.
-
You can configure how often the Content Rules window of a CWP or CWA refreshes.
-
When you add a selection criterion to your package, the criterion does not get updated if the criterion is updated in the system. Remove the criterion and reapply it for the latest information.
