About project control tasks
A Project Control Task (PCT) is an equivalent record that maps to a master schedule activity.
The PCT module is designed to align activities related to construction, completions and commissioning defined in a master schedule so that the Smart Completions assignment functionality will associate relevant Planned Tasks. This allows you to link the level 6 planned tasks, managed in Smart Completions, to level 4 activities, managed in master scheduling systems such as Primavera P6, Ecosys, or Microsoft Project.
We recommend that only completions-related activities are loaded into Smart Completions. Otherwise, these activities will have no assigned planned tasks, and will not be updated with progressing.
