You can create a user on the Estate Users page and place a request to add the user to an estate.

When should I raise an add new users request?

You should raise an add new users request when you want to create a new named user and add them to an estate.

  1. Click the estate ID or estate name on the Estate Users page to display the estate details.

  2. Click Manage and select Add (New).

  3. Type the first name, last name, middle name, email address, and phone number of the user in the respective boxes.

You can type the phone number by adding '0' or '+', followed by country code, full phone number, and extension number.

  4. Select the company name from the Company Name list.

You can view only your company details in the company name list.

  5. Select the Primary Work Location Country and Primary Work Location City from the lists.

  6. Select the identity provider from the Identity Provider list

The Identity Provider is displayed only if the estate has an external identity provider.

  7. If you are adding a user associated with an external identity provider, then select the identity provider from the Identity Provider list box.

  8. Type the external login name of the user in External Login Name. For more information see

  9. On the Scopes & Projects tab, select one or more scope & project check boxes.

  10. On the Configuration tab, select the license manager server, Smart Support access level, and request subtype from the respective lists.

    • From the Request Subtype list, select Lock User to lock the user or Hold User to place the user on hold while adding to an estate.

    • From the SmartSupport Access Level list, select User to give Smart Community access to user. The default access level is None.

  11. Select the Estate Logo Upload User check box, if required.

  12. Select the required designated system admin access from the Designated System Admin list.

    • The Designated System Admin access box is applicable only to the estates with air-gap site segregated build type.

    • If you select Yes, the users do not have to assign any role to any product group.

  13. On the Product Roles tab, click in the required role and select a role from the list.

  14. On the Comments tab, type the client grouping name and user field in the respective boxes.

  15. Click Submit.

    • The request has a status of Pending Submit.

    • You have added user request details but you have not yet placed the request for processing.

  16. To place the request for processing, click Submit Requests on the Estate Users page.

When Enforce Named User Licensing Model setting is enabled and if the number of users onboarded to an estate exceeds the enhanced named user ratio threshold (License Named user Ratio * Requested Count) as specified in the Product Licenses screen, the following validation alert is displayed:

Requested Named User cannot be on-boarded as it exceeds the maximum permissible limit. Contact the Smart Cloud Service Desk for further assistance.

As a Customer Administrator, if you see this message, you must place a user delete request. If the existing users cannot be deleted, you must purchase additional Smart Cloud licenses. To purchase additional licenses, contact Smart Cloud Service Desk.
