Change of customer domain name results in change in the external login name for the SSO users. As a Customer Administrator, you can file a Change Request by providing the External Login Name for each user in Smart Cloud Portal. This is a laborious process when the number of users exceeds 20.

The following steps provide a better solution to migrate all users to SSO:

  1. File a request for setting up SSO with Smart Cloud.

    Customer Administrator submits an Estate Request in Hexagon Smart Community for bulk update of external login names of all SSO users. The request must contain the following details:

    • List of users with the following details must be provided:

      • Current External Login Name (for example, john@acme.com).

      • New External Login Name (for example, john@acmefoundation.com).

      • Date by when the users must to be converted.

  2. Smart Cloud Service Desk processes the request.

    Smart Cloud Service Desk submits the Change Request for each SSO user to change the external login name.

    After requests are processed, an account update email is sent to all the affected users asking them to login to Smart Cloud Portal using the new external login name. The user must now use the new external login name john@acmefoundation.com.
