Displays properties for compartments. Compartments are physical spaces within the ship that cannot overlap, except for some limited cases where one compartment, such as a fuel oil day tank, is completely enclosed by another compartment (such as the main machinery space). In most instances, a compartment is completely defined in terms of topological boundary relationships with a plate system, a deck, a transverse bulkhead, a longitudinal bulkhead, or a hull shell object.

The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Bottom Area

Specifies the area of the bottom.

Capacity

Specifies a capacity value for the object.

Center of Gravity Bottom X

Specifies the X-coordinate for the center of gravity of the bottom.

Center of Gravity Bottom Y

Specifies the Y-coordinate for the center of gravity of the bottom.

Center of Gravity Bottom Z

Specifies the Z-coordinate for the center of gravity of the bottom.

Center of Gravity X

Specifies the X-coordinate for the center of gravity of the volume.

Center of Gravity Y

Specifies the Y-coordinate for the center of gravity of the volume.

Center of Gravity Z

Specifies the Z-coordinate for the center of gravity of the volume.

Coating Color

Specifies the color of the object coating. To change the options on the list, edit the Coating Color select list in Catalog. Smart 3Dx includes this property in the painting area report.

Rule Controlled

Specifies that a rule defined for a parent property controls the value. If Rule Controlled does not display, you can select a value.Coating Level

Specifies a value for the coating level. Smart 3Dx includes this property in the painting area report.

Coating Recoating

Specifies the recoating condition for the object.

True

Indicates that the object is recoated.

False

Indicates that the object is not recoated.

Coating Status

Specifies the status of the coating for the compartment. This list is defined by the CompartmentCoatingStatus codelist in the CompartmentCodeLists.xls workbook in the reference data.

Coating Type

Specifies the type of coating for the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Coating Type select list in Catalog. If you want to add, edit, or remove values that are available for selection, edit the Compart Coating Type sheet in the CompartmentCodeLists.xls workbook in the reference data. Smart 3Dx includes this property in the painting area report.

Compartment Tightness

Specifies the type of tightness for the compartment. Examples include air-tight, water-tight, and so on. The list is defined by the CompartTightness codelist. Smart 3Dx includes this property in the tightness report.

Created by

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Deck Height

Specifies the height of the deck.

Deck Maximum

Specifies the maximum deck value for the compartment.

Deck Minimum

Specifies the minimum deck value for the compartment.

Dry Center of Gravity

Specifies the location of the dry center-of-gravity for the object.

Dry Weight

Specifies the dry weight of the object.

Filling Height

Specifies the height to which the compartment can be filled.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Last Modified By

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Longitudinal Maximum

Specifies the maximum longitudinal value for the compartment.

Longitudinal Minimum

Specifies the minimum longitudinal value for the compartment.

Moment of Inertia X

Specifies the X-coordinate for the moment of inertia of the volume.

Moment of Inertia Y

Specifies the Y-coordinate for the moment of inertia of the volume.

Moment of Inertia Z

Specifies the Z-coordinate for the moment of inertia of the volume.

Name

Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.

Parent System

Specifies the parent system for the object. Recently used systems that are appropriate to assign as the parent system for this object as well as the Select from Workspace and Select from Model options display in the list. The most recently used system displays at the top.

The parent system of the object must have an Approval Status of Working before you can change the Parent System value. If the Approval Status of the parent system is not set to Working, this value is read-only.

Select Interactively

Turns on or off the interactive selection. When this option is on, you can select the parent object in a graphic view or any of the explorers.

Select from Workspace ICON Select from Workspace

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Workspace tab open. The workspace is the subset of the active model database you specified when you started your design session. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Select from Model ICON Select from Model

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Model tab open. The model is all of the objects in the active model database, including those that are not part of your workspace. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Permeability
