Displays properties for pin jigs. A pin jig is a manufacturing aid consisting of a height-adjustable pedestal that supports a part such as a plate, assembly, or block. You can place multiple pin jigs on a plate, assembly, or block.
The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.
Added Pin Behavior on Move/Rotate
Specifies the behavior of the added pins when you move or rotate the pin jig.
-
Stay with the supported part.
-
Stay with the jig floor. (Not currently available)
-
Reapply the X and Y offsets from the reference pin. (Not currently available)
Adjust Pin Bed on Move/Rotate
Specifies whether the pins should be adjusted when the pin jig is moved or rotated.
Aft Boundary
Specifies the accuracy points on the Aft Boundary.
Approval State
Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.
Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.
You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.
Balance Method

Along Girth From Upper
Creates points starting from the upper boundary at a specified distance along the girth.
Along Girth From Aft
Creates points starting from the aft boundary at a specified distance along the girth.
Along Girth From Fore
Creates points starting from the fore boundary at a specified distance along the girth.
At Pin Lines
Creates points at the intersection of pin rows and columns with the boundary.
At and Middle of Pin Lines
Creates points at the intersection of pin rows and columns with the boundary. Additional points are created at the middle of these points.
Date Created
Specifies the creation date of the object.
Date Last Modified
Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.
Fore Boundary
Specifies the accuracy points on the Fore Boundary.
Horizontal Pin - X
Specifies the X-axis coordinate of the horizontal pin (H0, V1).
Horizontal Pin - Y
Specifies the Y-axis coordinate of the horizontal pin (H0, V1).
Horizontal Pin - Z
Specifies the Z-axis coordinate of the horizontal pin (H0, V1).
Hyperlink
Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.
Description
Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.
URL
Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.
Jig Floor
Specifies the jig floor associated with the pin jig set.
Last Modified by
Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.
Lower Boundary
Specifies the accuracy points on the Lower Boundary.
Name
Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.
Origin Pin - X
Specifies the X-axis coordinate of the origin pin (H0, V0).
Origin Pin - Y
Specifies the Y-axis coordinate of the origin pin (H0, V0).
Origin Pin - Z
Specifies the Z-axis coordinate of the origin pin (H0, V0).
Pin Jig Accuracy Check Rule Set
Specifies the rule set that the software uses to get the accuracy points. You can modify or add rule sets.
Pin Jig Purpose
Specifies the purpose of the pin jig.
Pin Jig Remarking Rule Set
Specifies the rule set that the software uses to get the geometry for remarking lines of each type.
Default
Identical to Based on Physical Connection. The options is available so that legacy models continue to work.
Based on Logical Connection
Generates the remarking surface by stitching together the surfaces of the leaf plate systems of the supported plates. It uses the existing geometry (as-is) of logical connections between the following objects:
-
Supported plates and connected plates for plate remarking lines.
-
Supported plates and connected profiles for profile remarking lines.
-
Supported plates for seam remarking lines.
Based on Physical Connection
Generates the remarking surface by stitching the surfaces of the sides of the supported plate parts that face away from the jig floor. This option uses the physical connections between the following objects:
-
Supported plates and connected plates for plate remarking lines.
-
Supported plates and connected profiles for profile remarking lines.
-
Supported plates for seam remarking lines.
The geometry for these remarking lines corresponds to the portion of the physical connection geometry that lies on the remarking surface.
Based on Part Surface and Logical Connection
Generates the remarking surface by stitching the surfaces of the sides of the supported plate parts that face away from the jig floor. This options uses the logical connections between the following objects:
-
Supported plates and connected plates for plate remarking lines.
-
Supported plates and connected profiles for profile remarking lines.
-
Supported plates for seam remarking lines.
Pin Jig Type
Specifies the pin jig type set by the software. This is a read-only box.
Plate Remarking Lines
Specifies whether plate remarking lines are applied or ignored. The following options are available:
Ignore
Indicates that plate remarking lines are not applied.
Apply
Creates a remarking line at the logical connection.
Both Sides
Creates remarking lines representing the molded and anti-molded sides of the connected plate part.
Both Sides with LC
Creates the remarking lines representing the molded and anti-molded sides of the connected plate parts along with the logical connection remarking line.
Apply with Supported Side
Creates the remarking lines representing the connected plate parts on the remarking side. Also creates the remarking lines representing the connected plate jigs on the pin jig anti-marking side (supported side).
Profile Remarking Lines
Specifies whether profile remarking lines are applied or ignored.
Reference Curve Remarking Line
Specifies whether naval architecture reference curves are applied or ignored.
Remarking Bend Points
