Displays the properties of bracket plate systems. A bracket plate system is a structural bracket that can be stiffened, penetrated by stiffeners on the bounding structure, and split with design seams. A bracket plate system is always bounded to the structure that it supports.

The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Active

Specifies whether a leaf system is active and applicable for modeling, drawing, and reporting operations. To exclude the leaf system from these operations, select No. In the hierarchy explorer, the lock icon is shown over the icon of the deactivated leaf system, and the detailed or light part associated with the leaf system is also deleted. In addition, because connections to deactivated leaf system are not valid, you must resolve such invalid connections in the To Do List. To change the leaf profile system back to the active state, select Yes; however, to have the detailed part, you must detail the leaf system explicitly. See Marine Structure Hierarchy in the Workspace Explorer for more information on leaf systems.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Bracket Orientation

Specifies the orientation of the object. The list is defined by the BracketOrientation codelist.

Continuity Type

Specifies the way in which the object system reacts when the system intersects another object system (your automatic splitting preference). The list is defined by the StructContinuity codelist.

Continuous

Indicates that the object system should split the other object system.

Intercostal

Indicates that the object system should be split by the other object system.

You cannot split objects that have a Continuity Type setting of Continuous.

Created By

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Dry Center of Gravity

Specifies the location of the dry center-of-gravity for the object.

Dry Weight

Specifies the dry weight of the object.

Flange Orientation of Primary Profiles after Reference

Specifies the orientation of the flange for the primary profile after the reference point.

Flange Orientation of Primary Profiles before Reference

Specifies the orientation of the flange for the primary profile before the reference point.

Flange Orientation of Primary Profiles on Reference

Specifies the orientation of the flange on the primary profile at the reference point.

Flange Orientation of Secondary Profiles after Reference

Specifies the orientation of the flange of the secondary profile after the reference point.

Flange Orientation of Secondary Profiles before Reference

Specifies the orientation of the flange of the secondary profile before the reference point.

Flange Orientation of Secondary Profiles on Reference

Specifies the orientation of the flange of the secondary profile at the reference point.

Has Sketch Boundary

Has Sketch Boundary

Has Substituted Boundary

Specifies whether the object has a substituted boundary.

Has Substituted Definition Object

Specifies whether the object has a substituted definition object.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Is Bracket

Specifies whether the object is a bracket.

Is Plane Reversed

Indicates whether the plane is reversed.

Is Sketched Bracket

Specifies whether the bracket plate system is sketched.

Is Named by Rule

Specifies whether the object name is determined by a rule.

Is Root

Indicates whether an object is a root system.

Lapped to Support

Specifies whether the bracket plate system is lapped to the support.

Last Modified By

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Name

Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.

Naming Category

Specifies the naming category. The naming rule uses the category in naming the profile part that is a child to the profile system.

Naming Rule ProgID

Specifies the Prog ID associated with the naming rule.

Number of Supports

Specifies the type of bracket system to place. The bracket type is classified by the number of supports.

Parent System

Specifies the parent system for the object. Recently used systems that are appropriate to assign as the parent system for this object display in the list along with the Select from Workspace and Select from Model options. The most recently used system displays at the top.

The parent system of the object must have an Approval Status of Working before you can change the Parent System value. If the Approval Status of the parent system is not set to Working, this value is read-only.

Select Interactively

Turns on or off the interactive selection. When this option is on, you can select the parent object in a graphic view or any of the explorers.

Select from Workspace ICON Select from Workspace

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Workspace tab open. The workspace is the subset of the active model database you specified when you started your design session. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Select from Model ICON Select from Model

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Model tab open. The model is all of the objects in the active model database, including those that are not part of your workspace. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Part Definition

Specifies the part information for the object, the properties, and their values, as defined in the reference data. For information about the information defined in the reference data, see the appropriate Reference Data Help.

Plate Thickness Direction

Specifies the direction from the molded surface in which the plate thickness is applied.

Above

Positions thickness above the deck. This is the default value.

Below

Positions thickness below the deck.

Centered

Centers thickness about the molded surface.

Plate Thickness Offset

Specifies the distance from the molded surface to the first plate face. Type 0 to put the face of the plate on the molded surface. Type a negative value to offset the plate face in the opposite direction of the thickness direction setting.

Plate Tightness

Specifies the water tightness of the plate part. The list is defined by the StructPlateTightness codelist.

Plate Type

Specifies the type of the plate part. The list is defined by the StructPlateType codelist.

Priority Number

Specifies the relative continuity priority. For example, if a continuous part of priority 1 intersects a continuous part of priority 2, the priority 2 part is intercostal at the intersection.
