Imported equipment might have a graphic representation of a nozzle, but no nozzle port. Use ducting port to add a duct nozzle port to existing graphics.

  1. Selectthe parent equipment for the port.

  2. Select Ducting Port Equipment HVAC Port at the bottom of Place Equipment Controls to display the Insert Nozzle or Port Controls.

  3. Verify that the selected equipment (Parent System) for the port and the port name are correct.

  4. Select Orientation Properties S3D_Nozzle_Orientation.

  5. Under Orientation Reference, select Select orientation reference.

  6. Select a shape on the equipment. Port locations are measured from the selected shape origin and are indicated by a triad and a port in dynamics.

  7. Select a Placement Type.

  8. Select preview to see the dimensions for the selected Placement Type.

  9. Enter port orientation distances and angles as shown in the preview. These values define the port location on the equipment.

  10. Select Dimensional Properties Dimensional Data.

  11. Select preview to see the port dimensions.

  12. Enter the port dimensions. These values define the size of the port itself.

  13. Complete the placement:

    • Select Finish or press CTRL + ENTER to save your changes and exit the command.

    • Select Finish and Modify Finish Modify ICON or press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then start the modification of that object.

    • Select Finish and Repeat Finish Repeat ICON or press SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then restart the command using the same options.
