Selectthe equipment to rotate. The equipment highlights and the Modify Equipment Controls display.

Select Rotate (CTRL + R) to display the rotation wheel and location triad at the object origin.
The software automatically prompts you to enter the degrees of rotation.

Select a blank space in the control panel to remove the input focus from the control panel.

Press G to set focus to the active graphic view.

Optionally, press the UP arrow on your keyboard to change the rotation axis.

Optionally, press the LEFT and RIGHT arrows on your keyboard to rotate the equipment 90 degrees. The software displays a wireframe of the object in the proposed rotation.

Optionally, type a rotation step angle, and rotate the equipment one step.
Alternatively, select the axis of the triad in the graphic view to rotate the object about that axis.

Complete the placement:

Select Finish (CTRL + ENTER) to save your changes and exit the command.

Select Finish and Modify (CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER) to save your changes and then start the modification of that object.

Clicking the yellow sphere on the location triad is the equivalent to clicking Reposition Rotate Origin .

If keyboard shortcuts are not working when you move or rotate objects, select the application title bar to reset the focus. Smart 3Dx indicates focus by displaying the bright blue border.
