To configure database connection and prerequisites for one of the APIs for Smart 3D, you use that API's Configuration Utility to provide information like database connection, caching, and messaging.
-
The steps required to complete this task are almost identical for the two APIs, so the instructions are combined in this help. However, the database connection and prerequisites for each web API must be configured separately, and the configuration steps must be followed on each computer that acts as a web server or hosts the service.
-
If you have an existing IIS site and application for web API already configured, you must restart the IIS application pool and the IIS web application after changing the database connection.
