If you customized certain shared content files but did not rename them, the wizard might overwrite those files during the upgrade process. Add your custom files to the Custom Files list to preserve them during the upgrade, and then select Next to go to the Choose Custom Symbols page.
-
If working in an environment integrated using HxGN SDx where customizations have been made to mapping, the SIOMap.xml and SIOSchema.xml files should not be overwritten during the upgrade of the SharedContent folder. There are 2 options to proceed:
-
The SIOMap.xml and SIOSchema.xml files under the SharedContent\Xml folder should be added as exceptions in the Upgrade Shared Content wizard, or
-
The entire XML folder should be copied as a backup and after using the Upgrade Shared Content wizard, the original SIOMap.xml and SIOSchema.xml files should be copied from the backup copy and replaced in the upgraded XML folder.
Typically, integration schema and map files (SIOMap.xml and SIOSchema.xml) are automatically upgraded when you use the Upgrade Version Command to upgrade the catalog database from a previous version of the software to the current version. If the automatic upgrade fails for any reason or if you need to upgrade the integration schema and map files outside of the standard catalog upgrade, you can use the Integration > Upgrade Integration Schema command to do so. All customizations made in prior software versions will be retained whether the files are upgraded during database upgrade or by running the command manually.

The wizard identifies specific files in the Original Location (see Content) that do not match the files in the initial software delivery, and automatically adds them to the Custom Files list. You can remove any files you do not want to preserve. The compared files are:
-
SharedContent\Reports\Components for Reports\Addins\SP3DReportMacros.xla
-
SharedContent\Reports\Types of Reports\smartplant review\s3dtosprdirect\ReportSettings.txt
-
SharedContent\Xml\MapClassIdToLevelDisciplines.txt
-
-
If you remove an automatically added file and then exit the wizard without saving your progress, the software automatically adds the file when you restart the wizard.
Select Save to store your progress in the upgrade file.
