  1. In Microsoft Excel, open the [Product Folder]\CatalogData\BulkLoad\DataFiles\SimpleDoor.xls workbook.

  2. Select the SimpleWindowAsm sheet.

  3. Between the Start and End keywords that appear in column A, add a row to the spreadsheet.

If a window exists in the sheet that is similar to the window that you want to define, consider copying the existing row.

  4. Enter a name for the window. You will use this name to select the window during placement, so use a descriptive name. In addition, this name must be unique across the entire catalog.

  5. Enter a description for the window.

  6. Enter the window type. Valid values are listed in the AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the DoorType sheet in the Codelist Number column.

  7. Enter the opening ratio of the window.

  8. Enter kinematics data to define the overall motion of the window. Valid values are listed in the AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the DoorsWindowsKinematics sheet in the Codelist Number column.

  9. Enter dimensional data for the window (height and width) and the window casement (depth and width).

  10. Finish defining the attribute values for the window. For more information about each attribute, refer to Simple Window Assembly.

  11. Click File > Save to save your changes.

  12. Bulk load the spreadsheet into the catalog.

  • In column A of every row that you add, type the letter A to indicate to the Bulkload utility that you are adding this row of information.

  • For more information about bulk loading, see "Using the Bulkload Modes" in the Reference Data Guide.
