  1. In Microsoft Excel, open the [Product Folder]\CatalogData\BulkLoad\DataFiles\StructWallGeneral.xls workbook.

  2. Select the Wall Composition Type sheet in the workbook.

  3. Between the Start and End keywords that appear in column A, add a row to the spreadsheet. If a composition exists in the sheet that is similar to the composition that you want to define, consider copying the existing row.

  4. Enter a part number for the composition. You will use this part number when defining the wall later, so use descriptive but short part numbers. In addition, this part number must be unique across the entire catalog.

  5. Enter a description for the composition.

  6. In the Layer Number column, specify the number of layers that the composition will contain. A composition can have up to eight layers.

  7. In the Layer Type 1 column, specify the sheet name in the StructWallLayer.xls workbook that contains the first layer that you want to use in your composition.

  8. In the Layer Part Num 1 column, specify the first layer's part number that you want to use in your composition.

  9. Continue defining sheet names and layer part numbers until you have specified the number of layers that you declared in the Layer Number column.

  10. Click File > Save to save your changes.

  • In column A of every row that you add, type the letter A to indicate to the Bulkload utility that you are adding this row of information.

  • For more information about the bulk loading, see Using the Bulkload Modes in the Reference Data Guide.
