The following graphics represent only one possible shape to satisfy each Shape at Edge condition. The location of the start and end points are of primary significance.

Value

Bounded Inner Surface Intersects Edge

Bounded Inner Surface Intersects Face

Bounded Inner Surface Intersects Corner

No Bounded Flange

None

The purpose is to maintain maximum contact between the bounded and bounding objects.

FaceToCorner

The purpose is to clear all material inside the bounding edge. When there is no bounded flange, it behaves like Face To Outside if the overlap at the bounding edge does not exceed a threshold value.

FaceToEdge

The purpose is to clear all material inside the bounding edge and the inside portion of the bounding edge. If there is no overlap between the bounded web and the bounding edge, it should behave like Face To Corner. When there is no bounded flange, it behaves like Face To Outside if the overlap at the bounding edge does not exceed a threshold value.

FaceToFlange

The purpose is to clear all material inside the bounding edge, while leaving the bounded flange connected. If there is no bounded flange, it should behave like Face To Outside.

FaceToOutside

The purpose is to clear all material around the bounding edge.

InsideToEdge

The purpose is to leave the bounded flange connected, if it exists, and clear material in the immediate vicinity of the bounding inside corner. If the overlap between bounded web and bounding edge is insufficient for the minimum radius, it should behave like Inside To Flange. When there is no bounded flange, it behaves like Face To Outside if the overlap at the bounding edge does not exceed a threshold value.

InsideToFlange

The purpose is to leave the bounded flange, if it exists, connected and clear material in the vicinity of the bounding inside corner as far as the bounded flange. If there is no bounded flange, it should behave like Inside To Outside.

InsideToOutside

The purpose is to disconnect the bounded flange, if it exists, and clear material in the vicinity of the bounding inside corner.

CornerToFlange

The purpose is to leave the bounded flange connected, if it exists, and disconnect the bounded web from the bounding edge if there is any overlap. If the overlap is insufficient for the default feature, the answer is not applicable and no feature should be placed. If there is no flange, it should behave like Corner To Outside.

CornerToOutside

The purpose is to disconnect the bounded flange, if it exists, and disconnect the bounded web from the bounding edge if there is any overlap.

EdgeToFlange

The purpose is to leave the bounded flange connected, if it exists, and clear material just inside the bounded flange, while leaving the bounded web attached to the bounding edge if there is any overlap. If the overlap is insufficient for the default feature, the answer is not applicable and no feature should be placed. If there is no flange, it should behave like Edge To Outside.

EdgeToOutside

The purpose is to disconnect the bounded flange, if it exists, and leave the bounded web attached to the bounding edge if there is any overlap. If there is no overlap, the flange is set back starting at the corner, but no additional material is removed from the web (compare to Corner To Outside).
