Shares Smart 3D data to an SDx server. The Intergraph Smart 3D Share service runs as a separate software executable for synchronizing with HxGN SDx. When you enable this service, existing objects in the model will be synchronized initially and changes such as new or modified objects are processed. The resulting data can be made available for downstream enterprise applications.

Before you start the service for a particular Smart 3D model, configure the settings. This allows you to create multiple settings for one or more models in the same or different site databases. The service runs on a dedicated system and keeps the cache that contains the 3D object data up to date.

  1. After the service starts, the software automatically checks new, modified, or deleted objects apart from existing objects. When you create, modify, or delete an object, the service synchronizes these changes with SDx. You can define the time interval between when the service checks for added, modified, or deleted objects. This listener service does not process drawing-specific aspects and style rules.

Licensing

When the Intergraph Smart 3D Share Service is running, the process consumes one Smart 3D Design Collaboration license per Smart 3D model. The service releases the license after the last model is removed from processing. For licensing, the service:

  • Consumes only one license even if more than one model is configured for processing on a computer.

  • Does not start processing models if a license is not available.

  • Continually checks for a license at one-minute intervals and starts processing models as soon as a license is available.
