Click Insert Split Command
on the vertical toolbar.

For the Split Mode, select Single Split.

Click Feature Break
on the ribbon.

Select the pipe feature to break.

Click to define the position of the feature break.

You can use Tools > PinPoint Command and Tools > Point Along Command to locate more precisely the position of the feature break.

When splitting using a feature break, no weld or connection is placed so the two- features combined represent a single pipe part. By using a feature break, you can stop heat-tracing, insulation, or a surface coating at an arbitrary location along the pipe instead of at a weld or other break in the line.
