  1. In Grids, create a coordinate system at the required inlet location of the chute shape using one of the following commands:

    Grid Wizard

    Place Coordinate System Command

    Place Coordinate System by Three Points

    SHARED Tip You do not need to create grid planes for the coordinate system.

  2. In Molded Forms, click Advanced Plate System Command advanced_plate_systems_i to display the Advanced Plate System Ribbon.

  3. Select Construction from the Macro Definition list.

    OR

    If Construction was selected earlier in the same session and is visible in the Macro Definition list, click Plate Definition by 3D Projection3D.

    The Geometric Construction Palette dialog box, Geometric Construction Explorer dialog box, and Geometric Construction ribbon appear.

  4. On the Standard Chutes tab of the Geometric Construction Palette, click a chute shape macro.

    The ribbon for the macro appears.

  5. Select the coordinate system in the graphic view or the Workspace Explorer.

    The chute shape surface name displays in to the Geometric Construction Explorer. Green preview geometry displays in the graphic view.

  6. If required, type new parameter values.

  7. Click Continue.

    The preview geometry color changes to gray in the graphic view.

  8. Click Close.

    The Advance Plate System ribbon reappears.

  9. Click Finish.

    The software creates the chute plate system.
