Do not delete or modify the Note Text that displays the position and orientation for module properties.

  1. Click Place Belt Components Command on the vertical toolbar.

  2. Select a belt profile, either from the Workspace Explorer or from the graphic view, and then click Select Belt Profile as the active option.

  3. Click Sketch 2D Control .

    The software selects the sketch plane of the belt profile.

  4. Use Add Intersecting Item and Add Projection Item as needed to add items to the sketch.

  5. Click Sketch 2D .

    The belt profile, intersection items, and projection items display based on the sketching plane you selected.

  6. Click Place Belt Components Custom Command to display the Place Belt Components Dialog.

    If the command does not display, you must first add the custom command. See Add custom commands to the Sketch 2D toolbar.

  7. On the Configuration tab, select an appropriate component type for Select Belt Component.

  8. Browse to the folder containing the 2D symbols and associated command configuration (.LST) files.

    This folder is usually a subfolder of the SharedContent symbols share.

  9. Select the Place tab:

  10. After placing the components, click Finish to close Sketch 2D.

  11. In the 3D environment, select a system in Select Parent.

  12. For Placement Mode, select Add, Modify.

  13. For Symbol File Name, type a name.

  14. For Type of Belt Components, select All.

  15. Select Update 3D to view the newly-created belt components.

    If you do not select this option, the components are not created in the 3D environment.

  16. Click Finish.

    The software adds the equipment symbols the model. Idlers are shown in the example below.
