The SDx Synchronization Status Monitor utility allows you to see the progress of the synchronization and generate a report that can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet file. It also allows you to retrieve processes to and from the SDx server.

  1. From the Start menu, select Intergraph Smart 3D > SDx Synchronization Status Monitor, and then select the model in the grid you just published.

  2. Review the information and progress displayed in the Details and Synchronization Status panes as shown in the example below for a model named TM_CM_MDB.

  3. To generate a status report, select your model and then click Report in the Synchronize to SDx Status pane.

  4. For the Synchronization Date, select All.

  5. For Synchronization Status, select all of the options to see how objects were synchronized:

    • Data error lists objects with data related errors. Review the objects in the model source file.

    • Client/Server error indicates if the server to which objects are being synchronized has a problem such as a shutdown. Resolve the server issues to synchronize.

    • Success lists objects that have synchronized successfully.

    • Excluded objects shows objects that have a defined class mapping, but the specific instances are excluded by the share service at runtime. For example, a single straight pipe feature for a physical pipe is excluded from the share service because the information required for downstream workflows is on the physical pipe. If the pipe has more than one feature because it is partly insulated or for any other reason, then features are also published because they carry useful information.

      Other excluded object examples:

      • Cable ports on cable occurrences.

      • Logical distribution connections at equipment nozzles.

  6. Click Create Report. After the report is created, drag column headings to change or filter the report display.

  7. Click Export Report to create a report Excel file containing two tabs of information. The Summary tab provides general status information such as the synchronization start and end dates and model name. The Synchronization Data Status tab provides information for objects such as the object type, name, SDx configure ID, and so forth.

  8. When you have finished, close the utility.
