Shares Smart 3D data to an SDx server. The Intergraph Smart 3D Share service runs as a separate software executable. When you enable this service, already existing objects in the model will be synchronized initially and changes such as new or modified objects are processed. The resulting data can be made available for downstream enterprise applications.

Before you start the service for a particular Smart 3D model, create at least one group setting using the Intergraph Smart 3D Share Service executable utility. A group setting defines options such as the database instance, Smart 3D site name, Smart 3D model name to be synchronized and query interval to check for added, modified, or deleted objects or data. This allows you to create multiple settings for one or more models in the same or different site databases. The service runs on a dedicated system and keeps the cache that contains the 3D object data up to date.

After the service starts, the software automatically checks new, modified, or deleted objects apart from existing objects. When you create, modify, or delete an object, the service synchronizes these changes with SDx. You can define the time interval between when the service checks for added, modified, or deleted objects. This listener service does not process drawing-specific aspects and style rules.

Licensing

When the Smart 3D Integration Service is running, the process consumes one Smart 3D license per Smart 3D model.
