Each spring type has a set of dimensions. Most are common to all spring types, while others only apply to certain types. The supported dimensions for each spring type are shown below.

General Dimensions

The general dimensions shown below are common to the standard constant spring. They are defined for all of the types.

The FramePlate, LeverPlate, GussetPlate, ColumnPlate, and UpThrustPlate each have a spacing attribute that specifies the spacing between the two plates.

Alternate Top Dimensions

The following figure depicts how the common set of dimensions defining the tops is interpreted for each type.

For Type C constant, if you do not specify Gap2 for a given Lug2Shape, then a single lug is placed for double suspension.

Additional Top Connection Ports

Type A, B, and C constants have an additional Top port. For type A, this port is at the top of the nut or the top surface. For type B and C, this port location based on the additional top connection shape as shown below.
