The Mirror flag is used to specify whether the bounding box is mirrored. For mirroring, the bounding box X-axis is reversed, forcing the Y-axis to flip in order to retain a right hand coordinate system. The result is the ability to switch between the two cases as shown in the following examples.
The following illustration (1) shows the bounding with the X-axis pointing out of the page.
The following illustration (2) shows the bounding box with the X-axis pointing into the page.

Mirroring reverses the bounding box X-axis such that Bx = -Bx while the bounding box Z-axis remains the same.

This toggle allows you to mirror a support by simply mirroring the bounding box, as opposed to switching the joints that connect the support to the bounding box.
