Properties on all of these supports:

Include Left Frame Pad

Pad for the left vertical section is added only when this option is set to True. This property is available for Type U, L, T, UV and L for Corners. The pad type will be triangular, rectangular, or circular according to the pad type that you select. For Type L-Corner Assembly, this property will add another pad in the horizontal section as well.

Include Frame Pad

Pad for the right vertical section is added only when this option is set to True. This property is available only for Type I Assembly. The pad type will be triangular, rectangular, or circular according to the pad shape that you select.

Frame Orientation

Orientation of the support when it is placed on a sloped pipe or steel. This property is shown on the Occurrence tab of the Properties dialog box. The following options are available:

  • Perpendicular to Pipe

  • Perpendicular to Structure

Shoe Height

The height of the shoe that can be used when the Pipe Attachment Type is none. The Assembly height adjusts automatically when you provide the shoe height.

Frame Connection Type

This property is shown on the Property Occurrence page. It is available for Type U, L, T, and L for Corner.

The following options are available:

  • Mitered

  • Welded

  • Wrapping

Brace Angle

Angle for the brace section when Include Brace is set to True. This property is available for Type U, L, I, and L for Corner.

Section From Rule

Setting this option to True gets the angle section size for angle section (L) based on the rule for the specified section type. You must to set it False to override the size from the Section Size property.

When Section from Rule is set to False, you are provided with the following options for section type.

When Section Size from Rule is set to False, you have the following options:

L Section

Include Brace

Brace section is added only when this option is set to True. This property is available for Type U, L, I, and L for Corner .

Include Brace Pad

Pad for the brace section is added only when this option is set to True. This property is applicable only when a brace is added to assemblyType U, L, I, and L for Corner. The pad type will be triangular,rectangular, or circular according to the pad type selected.

Overhang Right (A)

Distance from edge of the horizontal section to the center of the left most pipe as shown in the below drawing. You can key-in any value and the software uses the key-in value only when the Overhang Option is set to User Defined. This property is available for Type U, L, T, UV, and L for Corner.

Frame Depth Offset

Vertical distance from the edge of the horizontal frame to the edge of the vertical frame as shown in the following picture.

Frame Width Offset

Horizontal distance from the edge of the horizontal frame to the edge of the vertical frame as shown in the previous picture.

Both the depth offset and the width offset properties are applicable only for wrapped connection type. Both properties are available for Type U, L, T, and L for Corner.

Include Right Frame Pad

Pad for the right vertical section is added only when this option is set to True. This property will be available for Type U and UV only. The pad type will be triangular, rectangular, or circular according to the pad type that you select.

Overhang Option

The following options are available:

  • From Catalog Rule

  • Adjust to Supporting Steel

  • User Defined

When you select From Catalog Rule, the software will run the rule and get the overhang values based on the section size.

When you pick the Adjust to Supporting Steel, the distance from the pipe center to the left and right steels is calculated and the overhangs is adjusted to these distance. This option is applicable only when the support is placed using the By Point command.

You can override the Overhang Left (L1) and Overhang Right (A) values when the option is set to User Defined.

Pad Shape

The following options are available:

  • Rectangular

  • Triangular

  • Circular

Overhang Left (L1)

Distance from the edge of the horizontal section to the center of left most pipe as shown in the following picture. You can key-in any value and the software uses that value only when the Overhang Option value is set to User Defined.

Pipe Attachment from Rule

Setting this option to True gets the pipe attachment type for pipes based on the rule.

Set this value to False to override the pipe attachment type from Pipe Attachment Type for first Route, Pipe Attachment Type for second Route, and so on up to Pipe Attachment Type for tenth Route.

Pipe Attachment Type (for Pipe 1 to 10)

These attributes allow you to change the pipe attachment type on each pipe up to 10 pipes when the Pipe Attachment From Rule value is set to False. The following options are available:

  • U-Bolt

  • U-Strap

  • None

Pipe Attachment Offset (S)

Offset from the flange of the section at which the pipe attachment should be placed. It indicates dimension S in the following picture.

Pipe Attachment Offset from Rule

By default this option is set to True. The software will run the rule and get the pipe attachment offset value based on the section size. This property will display on the Properties dialog box, and is disabled.

Frame Snip to Web

Snip will be shown to the horizontal frame along the web when this option is set to True. This property is available only for support Types L, T, I, and L for Corner.

Frame Snip to Flange

Snip will be shown to the horizontal frame along the flange when this option is set to True. This property is available only for support Types L, T, I, and L for Corner.

Snip Angle Along Flange

Snip angle for the flange for the L section. You can change this angle on the Properties dialog box. This property is available only for support Types L, T, I, and L for Corner.

Snip Angle Along Web

Snip angle for the web for the L section. You can change this angle on the Properties dialog box. This property is available only for support Types L, T, I, and L for Corner.

Snip Offset Along Flange

Snip offset for the flange for the L section. You can change this angle on the Properties dialog box. This property is available only for support Types L, T, I, and L for Corner.

Snip Offset Along Web

Snip offset for the web for the L section. You can change this angle on the Properties dialog box. This property is available only for support Types L, T, I, and L for Corner.

Cutback to Frame

Cutback will be shown to the horizontal frame along the flange when this option is set to True. This property is available only for support types L, I, and L for Corner.

Cutback Angle

Cutback angle for the horizontal frame for the L section. You can change this angle on the Properties dialog box. This property is available only for the support types L, I, and L for Corner.

Is Corner Support

This is set to True for Corner L-Type Assembly. This property is displayed on the Properties dialog box and is disabled.

Flat Bar From Rule

Set this option to True to get the flat bar section size based on the rule. You must set it False to override the size from the Flat Bar Size property

Flat Bar Size

When Flat Bar from Rule is set to False, the following options are available.

  • RS6X25

  • RS6X32

  • RS6X38

  • RS6X44

  • RS6X50

  • RS6X65

  • RS6X75

  • RS6X90

  • RS6X100

Corner Overhang

Specifies distance from the edge of the horizontal section to the center of Corner most pipe as shown in the following graphic. The Corner Overhang value is valid only when Overhang Option is set to User Defined. This property is applicable only for Corner L-Type Support.
