Click Place Shape Command on the vertical toolbar.
If a designed equipment object has not been selected, select one in a graphic view or in the Workspace Explorer.
The Shapes palette displays

On the Shapes dialog, select Prismatic Shape.
Click More to select a shape from the catalog browser.

Click Display Aspect and select the aspects from the list.
You can click Format > View and change the Render Selected Aspects option in the Format View dialog box to display the aspect in the active graphic view.

Specify a name for the new shape in the Name box.

On the Cross-Section tab, select a cross-section in the drop-down list.
A corresponding image of the selected cross-section appears at the bottom of the dialog box.

In the Value column, type the appropriate geometric dimensions, cardinal point, and angle.

Click OK to return to the model.

Define the path for the shape. See Define the path for a prismatic shape.

Click Finish Path to finish the path.

Click Finish to place the new shape and save it to the database.

If necessary, add or change a positioning relationship by selecting it from the Positioning Relationships list.
