In some deployment scenarios, you may use multiple databases for Integrity. The information in this section and its supporting subsections apply only if you have multiple databases. If you have a single Integrity database, you do not need to perform these tasks.

If you have not already configured your multiple databases for Integrity, configure the databases before proceeding. For more information, see Working with Multiple Databases for Enterprise Deployments.

When you use baselines with multiple Integrity databases, you need to consider where the baselines are defined and where the assets are that you want to compare to those baselines. Use the following list to guide you through the topics in this section to correctly configure Integrity for baselines with multiple databases.

  1. Make sure the Integrity web server is installed in the same location as the primary database.

  2. Make sure the pasIntegrityDB and IntegrityDataCollector2 services run using a domain account. Update the services and utility configuration files to use the domain accounts so they can work correctly in a multiple database deployment. For more information, see Configuring Integrity Services and Utilities to Use a Domain AccountIntegrityConfiguring Integrity Services and Utilities to Use a Domain Account and Working with Multiple Databases for Enterprise Deployments.

  3. Verify that you have the latest version of the asset models required for baselines. For more information, see the Requirements for Baseline Management.

  4. Since the baselines need to be defined in the primary database, import the PAS Cyber Integrity asset model and the PAS Baseline asset model into the primary database.

  5. Since the assets compared to the baselines are defined in the secondary database, import the asset models for source assets, such as the PAS Recon asset model, in the secondary database with a separate data collector. For more information, see the Implementation Guide for each source asset type.

  6. After each data import for a type of source asset is complete, Integrity needs to compare the new data to the baseline to identify deviations. With one database, this process is handled automatically. With multiple databases, the baseline asset model is in a separate database from the source assets. In this case, you need to create a Baseline Deviation sequence in each source asset model in the secondary database, and then schedule that sequence on the primary database to run after the import on the secondary database is complete. For more information, see Creating the Baseline Deviation Sequence and Scheduling the Baseline Deviation Sequence.

Continue with the overall process of configuring baseline management and creating baselines. For more information, see Steps for Configuring Baseline Management and Creating Baselines.
