You should finish adding all assets prior to configuring the asset hierarchy. If you import additional assets after you configure the asset hierarchy, new assets are not displayed in the hierarchy until they are manually added to the asset hierarchy.

To configure the asset hierarchy for Cyber Integrity:

  1. Open Configuration Manager on the Integrity server. To open Configuration Manager, run the following file:

    InstallPath\DataCollector\ConfigurationManager.exe

  2. Click CyberIntegrityInventory in the list at the top left.

  3. Select Synchronize with right pane at the bottom left pane.

  4. Click the Create and Edit Objects tab.

  5. Create the root node by completing the following steps:

    1. In the Asset field, select CyberIntegrity.

    2. Next to the Object Type field, click New to create an object type for the root node.

    3. Type the name for the new object type, such as Enterprise, and then click OK.

    4. Select Manually enter data, and then click OK.

    5. Click the Object List tab, and then select Allow adding and deleting objects.

    6. In the New object name field, type the name for the root node, such as Enterprise.

    7. Click Save. The new object is added to the list on the Objects List tab.

    8. In the Properties pane, type Title in the PropertyName field.

    9. In the PropertyValue field, type the name you want to display for the object, such as Enterprise.

    10. In Format of node text, type <Title>.

    11. Click Save.

    12. Drag the new object from the Object List tab to the empty list on the left.

  6. Create any other object types, such as Location, you want to use as nodes in the asset hierarchy. For more information, see Creating New Object Types for the Asset Hierarchy.

  7. Build the remaining structure you want by completing the following steps for each node you want to add:

    1. In the Asset field, select CyberIntegrity.

    2. In the Object Type field, select the type for the node, such as Location.

    3. In the New object name field, type the name for the node, such as Plant-A.

    4. Click Save.

    5. In the Properties pane, type Title in the PropertyName field.

    6. In the PropertyValue field, type the name you want to display for the object, such as Plant-A.

    7. In Format of node text, type <Title>.

    8. Click Save.

    9. Drag the new object from the Objects List tab to the parent node created previously. To view the new asset hierarchy, right-click the parent node, and then click Refresh.
