On each tool signature, you can set a default value that will appear in the Retrieve dialog box when a user opens it from the related authoring tool. This value will be the default setting for the Retrieve option, and can be configured for the following values: Latest data, As published or CDW data. The user can change that default value to any of the other values, if necessary.

The default retrieve settings can be configured in the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop
Client for each registered authoring tool. In order to set that default or override
the default value for the Retrieve option on the Retrieve dialog box, you must be a member of the SmartPlantAdminIntegrator role.
Configure Retrieve option to set a default value:

In SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, select Find > Integration > Signatures.

Right-click a signature, and then click Manage Integration Options.

Select an option from the Retrieve option list as a default value.

Click OK.
To retrieve documents based on CDW data, CDW must be enabled in SmartPlant Foundation.
