The Configure Policy window allows you to filter the object types listed in the Select an object type field. You can also specify which columns to display in the Select data field and change the order of the columns. These filters help you reduce the number of object types listed and the information displayed for each data item so you can more easily find and select the items you need.

To apply filters on the Configure Policy window:

  1. If you want to limit the object types listed, complete the following steps:

    1. Next to the Select an object type field, click the Filter button.

    2. Select the check box next to each object type you want to include in the Select an object type field.

    3. You can also drag and drop rows to change the display order.

    4. Click Save, and then click Close.

    5. To activate the filter and update the Select an object type field, clear the Selective Choices check box, and then check the Selective Choices check box.

  2. If you want to limit the columns displayed for the data items, complete the following steps:

    1. Next to the Select data field, click the Filter button.

    2. Select the check box next to each column you want to include in the Select data field.

    3. You can also drag and drop rows to change the display order of the columns.

    4. Click Save, and then click Close.

    5. To activate the filter and update the Select data field, clear the Selective Choices check box, and then check the Selective Choices check box.

When the columns are added to the list, the display order matches the order you specified in the Selection window. You can also drag and drop the column headers in the Select data field to change the column order.
