  1. Click Schedule Management > Smart Visualization Visualization.

  2. At the top-right corner of the animation control bar, under 4D Visualization, choose Planned.

  3. In the View box, choose Schedule.

  4. Using the Animation start and Animation end boxes, choose the time frame you're interested in.

  5. To view the future model elements for the required period of time as the animation progresses, from the Show look-ahead plan of box, select an option.

    • The model elements are color-coded by baseline dates or current dates based on what you selected as your preference for progress calculation within the selected time frame as the animation progresses. If any work package doesn't have baseline dates, then the associated model elements are displayed as future (purple color).

    • You can view the rolling list of work packages that are in progress at a particular date as the animation progresses by turning on the Work packages in progress toggle next to the animation controls.

The legends in Smart Build Insight come with default set of colors and delay ranges. You can change the colors and delay ranges as per your requirements and also choose between single delay or major and minor delays. To customize the legends, go to Administrator Settings > Configure formatting.

What happens when I select a model element in the model?

If you select a model element, the work package associated with the selected model element is highlighted in the schedule above. This helps you to quickly locate the related work package in the schedule, drill down to see the start and finish dates, and further analyze the progress.
