You can perform a health check on your SDx sites by executing test scripts to help diagnose any issues.

The test script options are for use when advised by Hexagon support and service personnel.

  1. Right-click an SDx site node, and select Diagnostic Tools > Site Diagnostics to open the test script tool.

  2. In HxGN SDx Site Diagnostics, click the Preferences tab, and type the system administration user name and password applicable for the database type.

    You can select the option to use Windows Authentication.

  3. In the Output Path type where the site diagnostics results are saved if you use the Export Selected Application Output to File option.

  4. In Framework tab, select the server site from the SDx Server Site drop-down list.

  5. Select the diagnostic scripts to run from the Diagnostic Tool list.

    What is covered by the different database script types?

    Each set of database test scripts are available for the selected server type under the various headings in the Diagnostic Tool list:

    1-Configuration Validation - test scripts check site configuration validation, version information, and server requests.

    2-Performance - test scripts run various server performance reports, such as usage, index, and statistics.

    3-Health - test scripts run various server health reports, such as error, status, backup, and blocked reports.

    4-Infrastructure - test scripts run various infrastructure reports, such as memory, usage, storage, and settings.

    5-Database Connection - test scripts check the Oracle or SQL server connection.

    6-Database Compare - test scripts run a meta schema database comparison.

  6. Click Run to start the selected diagnostic tests. The results of the tests are displayed in the Output window.

    SHARED Tip You can use Export to ZIP to publish the test results to a ZIP file or use View Contents to view the output file contents.
