The following applies if you are using Update 1 of the SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI.
From SDx Update 42 and SmartPlant Foundation Update 35, the SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI is delivered with two separate installers that are compatible
with SDx and SPO Core, but the installation procedure is the same for both the installers.

Go to the installation folder, and double-click setup.
At this point, the installation process checks whether the required software and
services are installed. If not, a warning is displayed, and you must install the missing
software or services to continue.

In the Welcome window, click Start Setup.

In the Details and Features window, enter your Serial Number, User Name, and Company.

In the Select Features To Install section, select the components you want to install:

All Features - Installs the server and client components on the local server.

Client - Installs only the client components on the local server.

Server - Installs only the server components on the local server.

You must ensure that SDx or SPF is installed on the local server before installing the components.

Install Path - Enter the path on the local computer where the software is to be installed.

Click Next.

In the License Agreement window, from the Country or Region list, select your country or region.

Carefully read the licensing agreement. When you are finished, select I agree to the license agreement and conditions, and click Install.

Click Finish when the installation is complete.
The following applies if you are using a version of the SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI before Update 1.

Go to the installation folder, and double-click setup.

In the Select Features To Install section, select the components you want to install:
You can clear the checkboxes for any software that you do not want to install. However,
if this software installation is a modification to a previous installation, do not
clear any selected checkboxes unless you want those components to be uninstalled.

HxGN SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI - Installs all the SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI server and client components.

Install Path - Enter the path on the local computer where the software is to be installed.

Serial Number - Enter the required serial number.

SDx Components - Select this option to install the SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI client and server components for SDx on the local server.
You must ensure that SDx is installed on the local server, before installing the components.
To install only server or client components, you can expand the SDx Components option to display the Optional Features, such as SDx Connector Client and SDx Connector Server, from which you can select the required component to be installed.

SPO Components - Select this option to install the SPO components of SPF on the local server, and use it to create the primary site.
You must ensure that SPF is installed on the local server, before installing the components.

To install only server or client components, you can expand the SPO Components option to display the Optional Features, such as SPO Connector Client and SPO Connector Server, from which you can select the required component to be installed.

You can also select both SDx Components and SPO Components to install both the components on the same local server. A corresponding server folder is created for each component and a business package is installed that contains the required server DLL files for the server.

Click Next.

In the License Agreement window, from the Country or Region list, select your country or region.

Carefully read the licensing agreement. When you are finished, select I agree to the license agreement and conditions, and click Next.

Click Finish when the installation is complete.
