When your existing system employs users configured by an external identity provider, such as Active Directory, you must create the users in HxGN SDx before they can log in.
However, you can create a default template user in Desktop Client that can be employed for every user to avoid setting up initial access for each user individually. The template user is configurable and gives administrators a way to control the default user access permissions.

In the Desktop Client, click Find > Administration > SmartPlant Foundation Options.

Select SystemOptions > Update.

In the Update - SPF System Options dialog box, select a user from the list in the Default User box.
