The existing job review can be extended by the execution of the previously selected test runs from the QA-Tool.

The check/validation should be carried out on the job or at least post of a job.

  • To post a job with QA-Tool validation:

Note QA-Tool validation results(validation errors found by the QA-Tool) are not stored in the database by default. This can be modified on any workstation by changing to „true" the parameter RetainValidationRuns in the file <GINIUS>\Cfg\GinQAToolJobPost.cfg, where <GINIUS> is the Utilities program path, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph\GINIUS\Program\. The validation results can then be reviewed as described in Review Validation Results.

Warning This modification can lead to a large number of validation results being stored in the database over time. In this case, the validation results should be checked regularly and validation results that are no longer required should be deleted.

  1. Start HxGN NetWorks Core Designer.

  2. In the Utilities tab, run QA-Tool Custom Post.

The custom post process starts and a progress window is displayed. The system checks if there are pending edits in the job or conflicts with other jobs.

When Top most window is checked, the progress window stays on top of other windows.

  3. Once both checks (pending edits and conflicts) are successful, the system asks you to confirm the job post. Click Continue to continue with the job post. To end the job post, click Cancel.

Job edits are validated using the configured QA-Tool validation template defined in G3E_GENERALPARAMETER.

If no template is configured, the validation is performed on all features created or modified in the job using all active QA-Tool validations, which are allowed for the user’s database roles.

If the QA-Tool validation finds errors, a data grid is displayed with the validation errors. If no errors are found, the data grid is not displayed, and the system continues automatically with the next step.

  4. Review the validation errors in the data grid.

  5. Click Continue to continue with the job post. Click Cancel to immediately end the job post.

Job edits are validated using the standard NetWorks Core job validation.

If any critical errors are found (depends on configured ValidationPriority), the system displays a data grid with the errors. The post job workflow stops.

If no critical errors are found, the system continues with posting the job edits to the database.
