Help

Opens the document for the item you select in the results list. The document displays in a graphics viewing environment. Let's take a look at the commands and settings you can use to review the document.

View Properties

Select an item in the view to see a property card containing standard properties. You can expand or collapse the card display. Items that do not have properties do not display a card.

SHARED Tip A selected item displays in red. Make sure the item is selected to display properties.

Change Your View

Touch Controls

The LiveView app supports all standard touch view operations such as pan and zoom. Tap to select an object in the view.

Keyboard controls

Scroll the view down: C
Scroll the view up: E
Zoom in: W
Zoom out: S
Move the view right: D
Move the view left: A

Mouse control

Pan and move the view (all directions): Left or middle mouse drag
Select an object: Left mouse click
Zoom in: Mouse wheel forward
Zoom out: Mouse wheel backward

Quick Access Toolbar

Expand/Collapse

Displays a vertical menu bar containing commands and settings. Tap to open and close the menu bar.

Home

Resets the display to the default view.

Fit

Zooms in to one or more selected objects. If you do not select any objects, Fit places all visible objects in the view.

Zoom Area

Enlarges the display in the view to a defined rectangular location.

Zoom Area How To

  1. Tap Zoom Area .

  2. Drag the cursor diagonally to define the two points indicating the rectangular area location.

  3. To exit the mode:

    • Tap Zoom Area again.

    • Press ESC.

    • Right-click anywhere in the view.

  4. To change the view, you click Fit or Home to return to the full drawing view.

Layers

Displays all sheet and SmartFrame layers associated to the current drawing. You can turn one or more sheet and SmartFrame layers on and off to filter the display and see specific objects. When you turn sheet and SmartFrame layers off, you cannot see objects assigned to the layers. If you turn off all SmartFrames associated to a sheet layer, the sheet layer is also turned off.

Layers How To

  1. Open the drawing. The Layers command displays in the quick access horizontal toolbar.

  2. Tap Layers to display all layers for the current sheet in the vertical pane.

  3. Select the layer to view. When you select a layer, the software displays objects assigned to that layer.

  4. Clear the layer check box to turn the layer display off. All SmartFrames and objects assigned to that layer are hidden.

  5. Tap the Back arrow to close the layer display.

Sheets

Toggles the sheet display list on and off. The software displays sheets available for the current drawing. Select each sheet to view.

Sheets How To

  1. Open the drawing. The Sheets command displays in the quick access horizontal toolbar.

  2. Tap Sheets to display all the sheets for the current drawing in the vertical pane.

  3. Select each sheet to view, or clear the sheet check box to turn off the display.

  4. Select the required sheets, and then tap the Back button on the vertical pane or tap the Sheets button again in the quick access toolbar to close the display.

Snapshot

Takes a screenshot of the current view and saves it to a .png file in your system's Downloads folder.

Snapshot How To

  1. Open the drawing, and then tap Expand in the Quick Access toolbar to display the vertical menu bar.

  2. Use commands such as Fit and Zoom Area to adjust the drawing view as needed.

  3. Tap Snapshot to get a screenshot of the current view.

  4. Look in your Downloads folder for the picture file. All snapshots have the naming convention: snapshot_[current date].png

Settings

Opens a dialog that provides various settings to control the display. Settings are organized in Visual, Information, and Diagnostics pages.

Visual

Background - Select either a solid Color, Gradient, Image, or SkyBox background for the display.

Projection Mode - Orthographic

Fly-to - Provides a "fly-to" camera mode in which the camera moves from one view point to another instead of an instant transition. When activated, this option applies to the Fit and Home commands.

Continuous Highlight - Highlights drawing items in the view when you hover your mouse over them. This option is on by default, and the default highlight color is red.

Information - Provides system information such as version numbers and data sources for the current model, browser usage, and hardware configurations.

Diagnostics - Checks your network connection and performance.

Diagnostics Mode - Turns on and off a continuous check of your network connection.

Log - Displays the network connection. You can copy and delete the display.
