1 Operating System Footnotes:
Oracle Linux runs on Oracle database servers only.
Note: A Known limitation exists for all HxGN InService releases:
Windows 8.1 and 10 supports multi-byte font by default, which could cause issues if a custom font has a character code that happens to be the lead byte for the multibyte font, then it will not display correctly. The only real solution is to not use that character code and reassign the glyph to a different code.
I/CAD products have been tested on following Windows OS versions:
-
Windows 11 Enterprise Version 23H2 Build 22631.4460
-
Windows 10 Enterprise Version 22H2 Build 19045.5131
-
Windows Server 2016 Standard Version 1607 Build 14393.7515
-
Windows Server 2019 Standard Version 1809 Build 17763.7532
-
Windows Server 2022 Standard Version 21H2 Build 20348.2849
-
Windows Server 2025 Standard Version 10.0 Build 26100
2 Database Engine Footnotes:
If using SQL Server, It is strongly recommended to use SQL Server Enterprise edition. See the Public Safety System specifications for more information: http://trueblue.intergraph.com/Support/KnowledgeBase/kbresult.asp?ID=6706
Most applications now use ADO.NET to access the database. There are still some applications that require the SQL Server Native Client. For those applications, you must install SQL Server 2012 SP2 Native Client manually. To run Intergraph applications on the database servers, install the 2012 SP2 Native Client prior to installing SQL Server 2016. SQL Server Database Mirroring Witness can run on SQL Server Express Edition.
I/CAD products have not been tested on Windows Server 2022 or Windows 11 Professional 64-bit for the following database servers:
-
SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
-
SQL Server Database Mirroring
-
Oracle Data Guard
3 Internet Browser Footnotes:
HxGN InService Web | NetViewer and HxGN InService Web | NetDispatcher require one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Safari for iPad. NetViewer and NetDispatcher are also considered viable on Safari Desktop versions.
4 Enterprise Applications Footnotes:
XenApp 7.6 provides limited support for HxGN InService Foundation | Dispatcher and HxGN OnCall Dispatch | Call-Taker. XenApp 7.6 does not include support for ANI/ALI, ProQA, or APCO Adviser. IIF/Biztalk CAD servers are certified/supported on VMWare vSphere ESXi 5.5.
Supported Database Servers: All versions of CAD 9.4 (RTM and up) are supported, running against Oracle or SQL Server on Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 R2.
Viable Interfaces: While Hexagon has not tested these, there is no foreseeable reason why these should not work with Hyper-V.
The supported version of the operating system (Hyper-V) is Windows Server 2012 R2 .
Virtualizing the interface/communication server is supported. If there are any serial RS232 interfaces on the communication/interface server, then a serial-to-IP conversion device is required since a virtualized interface server has no RS232 port. For a serial-over-IP device, Hexagon has tested with the Digi PortServer® TS serial server.
Client applications are not supported on Hyper-V or VMWare.
5 Hexagon Applications Footnotes:
For information on the supported environments for the CAD suite of application see
the I/CAD Supported Environments
document.
HxGN NetWorks Core and HxGN NetWorks Web Services are required only if the new Incremental
Migration (CIM compliant)
is used.
6 Third Party Application Footnotes:
To configure CAD 9.4/InService® 9.4, you must have Visual Studio 2015.
Microsoft recommends using the 32-bit version of Office because it helps prevent compatibility issues with most other applications, especially third-party add-ins.
7 System Dependencies Footnotes:
You must install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 manually.
8 for Client part of the install
9 for Server part of the install
Platform Changes:
Platform changes are not expected to occur after the initial release of a product version. However, if changes are necessary, they are noted here.
