Conceptually, creating and using a web service prompt screen is straightforward.

Create the web service prompt. This involves defining the screen or tab and the capabilities it will possess that is, web services, fields, special behavior, etc. This definition is referred to as a "web service prompt" or the "prompt" and is created using the Web Service Prompt setup screen located in the Administration menu structure.

Add the web service prompt screen (that is, user defined screen) to the appropriate user group menus within the system from the User Groups screen. For web service prompts to be used as a tab the administrator needs to make the prompt available for the user group.

Test the web service prompt screen.

Use Screen Designer to make final screen configuration changes.
The complexity of the screen can undermine the simplicity described above but the concept remains the same regardless.
