Generation is required to start using the screen. After generation, user defined screens can be placed on the menu and user defined tabs will be available as a new tab on their parent screen.
Once you define all the fields for the user defined screen, navigate to the Record View tab, and then click Generate. A confirmation message is displayed and the screen generation process begins. Once the screen is generated, edits to user defined screens are limited.
A new function is created with the defined screen name. A generic web service is used for all user defined screens for Insert, Update and Delete operations. This web service is not accessible from the Web Service Prompt screen (BSWSPM). A new database table is generated based on the table name defined on the User Defined Screen record and the fields defined on the Fields tab.
