  • Run the Couchbase installation program on a second server

  • Access the administration utility at http://server:8091

  • Select the options to join an existing cluster and enter the connection information

  • After joining the cluster, navigate to Manage > Server Nodes and select Rebalance

    This step is essential even though the cluster currently contains no data.
