SG-8917 Assets | Depreciation - Asset is using the incorrect starting value when making a change to the value of the asset

 Description 

An asset was created in EAM that has two methods of depreciation.

Method 1 is IFRS

Method 2 is SYSCOA

Each method has its own starting value so on the Depreciation tab of the Asset screen two commission values were entered.

As this is a test

IFRS commission value is 400,000, From Date = 01-JAN-2023

SYSCOA commission value is 1,000,000, From Date = 01-JAN-2023

Depreciation Type is units of output

If I add an IFRS change in value for 10000 (increase value) , the starting value displayed on the screen is 400,000. The from date is 01-FEB-2023

If I subsequently add a SYSCOA change in value for 10000 (increase value), it shows the starting value as 410,000 which is the IFRS starting value + 10000. Note the from date is also 01-FEB-2023. This is incorrect as the starting value for SYSCOA is 1,000,000

If I change the from date on the SYSCOA change to any date other than 01-FEB-2023, the starting value is correct (1,000,000).

*Steps to reproduce*

• Create an Asset and open Depreciation tab

• Add two deprecation types: IFRS with a method of units of output , starting Jan 2023 and SYSCOA  with method units of output starting Jan 2023

• Add An “Increase Value” of 10,000 value for IFRS with a date of 01-FEB-2023. Note the starting value is now 410,000

• Add An increase of 10,000 for SYSCOA with a date of 01-FEB-2023. Note the starting value is 410,000 which is the IFRS starting value. This is not correct !

• If I change the “FROM DATE” field to 01-MAR-2023 for SYSCOA type, the starting value is 1,000,000 which is the correct value
