 Description 

# Use GISPro 3.x

# Install Parameter GISSYNCA is set to OFF

# In EAM Administration | Setup | Classes

• Create 2 new Classes – Entity = OBJ

• Class codes = Class 1 description = Site Address

• Class codes = Class 2 description = Site Address

# Administration | Custom Fields | Custom Fields

• Create a new custom field called CF1

• Description = Site Address

• Create a new custom field called CF2

• Description = Site Address

# Administration | Custom Fields | Associate Custom Fields

• Entity = OBJ

• Select any Class 1

• Add Custom Field CF1

• Select the Entity OBJ again.

• Select Class 2

• Add CF2

# Equipment | Assets

• Select 2 Assets that are GIS integrated.

• Populate one Asset with Class 1

• Select another Asset and populate with Class 2

• Notice the Site Address Custom Field now show – leave it blank

# In GIS Pro 3.x

• Use one of the generic fields in the Attribute table to populate the information in the Site Address Custom Field in EAM

• Be sure there is data in the attribute field you are using.

# HxGN EAM Add-In 12.1.1

• Map Feature Attributes

• Select your Layer

• Add a new line

• Source = GIS

• GIS Attribute – select the one you are using to put that data into the custom Field in EAM

• HxGN EAM Attribute – Use the look up

• Filter for Description = Site Address

• Notice there should be 2 showing

• Select the one that is for Class 1

• Action = Copy

• Owner = GIS

# Select One Feature in the Attribute Table

# Set the UPDATE_COUNT of the GIS feature to 1 so that the discrepancy is found

# Synchronize Attributes

• Select your Layer

• Check the box to Consider only features selected on the map

• View Discrepancies

• Select the Record and go to the Details Tab

• Make sure it could the discrepancy for the Custom Field

• Synchronize Discrepancies

• Sync comes back Successful – 1 of 1 records updated

# Go back into EAM

• Assets Screen - Select the equipment you just Sync’d

• Notice the Site Address is still blank

Expected Results: Custom Field Site Address to be populated with the data from the feature in GIS

Actual Result: Data does not populate in EAM even though it said 1 of 1 record updated
