When a main isolation solution is displayed in the Map View screen; the system will also enable the Extend option. As with the Operate option, the Extend option will also be available for any valves that would be required to be closed to isolate a selected main (i.e. a valve that is highlighted green). This option allows the user to indicate to the system a selected valve cannot be closed; and should therefore be removed/ignored when calculating a main isolation solution. If the user touches a single valve and selects the Extend option, the system will change the color of the valve (red) to indicate that the valve is unable to be closed. The user may then select the Isolate option to re-run the Isolation process with the identified (red) valve as excluded from the calculation.
