A new Digital Work Home screen/landing page has been added to view the Digital Work Home records rendered as ‘Tiles’, if configured in base EAM. This will also replace the standard menu option and folders with a ‘Tile’ based menu.

For the Digital Work Home screen (Screen View) to render the tiles in proper sequence, the following steps must be taken in base EAM from a configuration perspective:

  • Records must be created on the Digital Work Home setup screen with the following values:

    • Digital Work Home Code and Description: The Description given here will be displayed below the tiles.

    • Screen – To specify the screen/report to which the tile will hyperlink to and run the Dataspy and/or filter if specified. The ‘Icon’ for these tiles can be set at the screen level, by using the Digital Work App Icon dropdown on the ‘Screens’ screen in base EAM. If no icon is specified at the screen level, the system will display the default icon based on module/folder to which the screen belongs to.     • Insert Mode – Checking this check box will open the screen in Insert Mode (An indicator will be available on the tile, specifying this).

    • SQL Statement – This will show a ‘Count’ on the tile, based on the Query selected. (The tile will show the ‘Count’ based on the SQL statement. The Query created, must have the Digital Work Home check box checked).

  • These records must be added to the Digital Work Home tab for User Groups with the Sequence Number – which will drive the ordering of the tiles. If no records exist on this tab, the system will display the standard menu options and folders.

Since, setting up Digital Work Home records at the User Groups level will replace the standard menu options and folders, the Main Menu will also be replaced by ‘Tiles’ (Menu View), with the Home tile being appended on the top (Which will take the user to the Digital Work Home Screen). This ‘Menu View’ will show the same records as configured for the Digital Work Home Screen, with the following standard options like : Favorites, Start Center, Settings and Logout. A search option is available for either of these views, to search for records.

The Digital Work App First screen value for the user will be ignored when Digital Work Home records exist for the user group. The user can still add their favorite screen(s) by navigating to the favorites option. The ‘Add Favorite’ option will list all the screens which belong to the Digital Work Menus tab for User Groups.
