Common User ID for all employees - HxGN EAM - Version 11.07.01 - Feature Briefs - Hexagon

Since the employees do not have to login, but simply walk up the screen, they must first select their Employee code. They can type it in directly or use the lookup. If the employees do not have their own User ID you have no way to properly verify their identity, and hence must rely on them selecting the correct employee.

Use screen designer and set the following fields:

1. Employee - Required

2. Password - Hidden

3. Clear Employee/Password - Show Button

Employees should click Clear Employee/Password after they are done with their transaction to free up the work station for their colleagues.

The same scenario but now all employees have their own User ID.

Use screen designer and set the following fields:

1. Employee - Required

2. Password - Required

3. Clear Employee/Password - Show Button

After this configuration, the employee must provide both Employee and the Password of the User Id associated to their Employee code. Whenever a button is clicked the password is verified and if correct the transaction is recorded. The password will stay active until cleared, so the employee can perform several transactions without reentering the Password.

Employees should click Clear Employee/Password after they are done with their transaction to free up the work station for their colleagues.
