The connection mechanism between HxGN EAM and the Infor ION® environment is the Infor® OnRamp inbox and outbox. HxGN EAM has a built-in connection to the Infor® OnRamp through Databridge partners. Follow these steps to enable the connection.

  1. Open Databridge Partner form.

  2. Locate the partner record with Partner Code = *, which is the My Enterprise partner. Switch to the Record View.

  3. Make sure Active check box is selected.

  4. Save the * partner record.

  5. Switch back to the List View of the Databridge Partner form.

  6. Make sure to select the "All Partners" Dataspy.

  7. Locate the INFOR-ONRAMP partner record, and switch to its Record View.

  8. Select the Active check box if it is not already selected.

  9. For Partner ID, enter the last part of the Logical ID allocated to this HxGN EAM instance.

In an Infor ION® environment, each connected software instance has its own unique Logical ID. The Logical ID for HxGN EAM has the format such as lid://infor.eam.instance01. Enter the last segment (instance01 in the example \) for Partner ID.

  10. In most common scenarios, you will use Infor ION® inbox and outbox inside the HxGN EAM’s database schema. In the Response Details section on the Record View of the INFOR-ONRAMP partner you will leave Address, Login ID, and Login Password blank, and you will skip the next step. If you intend to use Infor ION® inbox and outbox outside the HxGN EAM’s database schema, please refer to the "HxGN EAM Inbox/Outbox" section under "Environment Requirements" for the location of the inbox/outbox database schema.

  11. Once you have the inbox/outbox location information, enter the connection string into the Address in the Response Details section on the Record View of the INFOR-ONRAMP partner. Also, enter the User ID and Password for the database connection into Login ID and Login Password in the Response Details section.

  12. The connection string examples are listed here:

    • For Oracle database:
      jdbc:oracle:thin:@gvldora02.infor.com:1521:DEV10G
In the above example, gvldora02.inor.com is the Oracle database server address. The port number is 1521 and the Oracle service name is DEV10G. Substitute these values with values specific to your environment.

    • For SQL Server database: jdbc:sqlserver://gvldvhw01.infor.com:1433;DatabaseName=SQLDB.
Again, substitute the server, port, and database name with your specific SQL Server values.

  13. Save the INFOR-ONRAMP partner record.
